Bengaluru: In yet another incident of a security breach at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), a Kuwaiti national managed to gain entry to the airport to see off his family members by using a cancelled ticket.

The accused, Waigh Sabry Khamis Ahmed (43) had booked a ticket for himself on Kuwait Airways and cancelled it later. The BIAL police, on Wednesday, arrested him for trespassing after an airport staffer caught him while verifying the ticket.

According to the police, Ahmed and his family members had come to India on a tourist visa. However, due to personal reasons, all others, except Ahmed decided to cut short their trip and return home. Ahmed decided to bypass the security to see off his family as he was worried that they would not be able to communicate properly with the airport security staff.
