Farm owner beheads man for trying to steal sheep

Davanagere: In a gruesome incident, a man was beheaded on Sunday, September 22 for allegedly trying to steal a sheep from an areca nut farm in Malebennur’s Mooginagondi village.

The deceased is identified as Chaman and the accused is farm owner, Arjunnappa.

As per the sources, Arjunnappa saw Chaman entering the farm at midnight, after which he thrashed and beheaded the deceased.

Following the incident, a team of police headed by Harihara circle inspector Gurunath I S caught the accused and the sharp weapon used to commit the crime was recovered.
