Justice Ravindra Bhat sworn in as SC judge
Justice Bhat is a native of Swarga village in Manjeshwar taluk

Manjeshwar: Justice Shripathi Ravindra Bhat, a native of Swarga village in Manjeshwar taluk, was among the four judges to be elevated as apex court judges.
Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Bhat, Krishna Murari, V Ramasubramanian and Hrishikesh Roy at a ceremony organised at Chief Justice’s court (Courtroom I) on Sept 23, Monday.
Prior to his elevation, Justice Bhat was Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Bhat (born 21 October 1958), son of late Shripathy Bhat and Savithri had obtained his degree in Law in New Delhi, where his father was based.
It is gathered from the villagers that Justice Bhat had actively associated himself with the renovation and Brahmakalashotsava of a shrine dedicated to Shri Jatadhari in Malethadk. They also mentioned that Justice Bhat alongwith his family visits the village twice a year.
