Chikkamagaluru: A couple registered a complaint against an Assistant sub-inspector (Traffic) alleging intrusion of their privacy and accused him of filming their intimate moments.
The accused ASI Yatheesh has also lodged a counter-complaint alleging assault by four persons.
The couple, in their complaint, alleged that they noticed someone lurking around their house on September 21 night. The couple shouted for help and were left shocked to find Yatheesh, who happens to be their neighbour filming their private moments.
In his counter complaint, Yatheesh alleged that he was assaulted until he lost consciousness. The police arrested four persons Vinod, Sudheer, Vasanthkumar and Anil on the charge of attempt to murder and have been placed under judicial custody, said a resident urging the police to release the four men.
Former CMC president Devaraj Shetty apprised Superintendent of Police Harish Pandey about the entire incident.
“The SP has assured of withdrawing the attempt to murder charge against the youths as well as taking suitable action against Yatheesh after due investigation,” he told reporters after the meeting.
