Complete pending development works soon: Shalini Rajneesh

Mangaluru: Presiding over progress review meeting of Coastal Development Authority held at the auditorium of the office of the Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner on Thursday, principal secretary in the department of planning, programme coordination and statistics, and head of Coastal Development Authority, Shalini Rajneesh instructed the concerned to ensure that all the development works planned in the coastal area are completed by March next year.
Pointing out the guidelines, Rajneesh informed that the authority can meet 90 percent of the project cost of development work if either the villagers or the MLA meet the remaining ten percent of project cost. He also reminded the officials that the reports of work completed and photos thereon have to be compulsorily posted in the website of the authority.
Compared to other districts, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have achieved good development Rajneesh and observed that industrial sector backed with progressive ideas holds the promise of achieving integrated development.
“More than how much money is spent for d development works, how far they are useful for the people is more important,” she told the officers.
