Mysuru: A Mysuru-based financier, who went missing recently, was allegedly murdered by a friend and his body dumped in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu. His friend and two others have been arrested by the police in this connection.

The victim, Gowthaman’s body was found by the Bagalur police on September 25 and a search was launched to identify him.

The investigating team of Bagalur police reached Mysuru, where a missing complaint was registered by the relatives of the victim.

According to the police, Gowthaman had lent a sum of Rs 50,000 to his friend, Arun. However, Arun did not return the money and when Gowthaman demanded repayment of the principal as well as accrued interest totalling to Rs 2.5 lakh a fight ensued between the duo.

Later Arun alongwith two others – Manjunath and Ravikumar is said to have plotted Gowthaman’s murder. As per the plan Arun called Gowthaman and under the pretext of repaying the loan the trio took him Bagalur in a car where they allegedly murdered and dumped his body.
