Tekkatte: A leopard has been caught in a trap that was set for its capture in a acacia and mango tree plantation located near Maladi higher primary school within the limits of GP here.
It may be noted that last year too, a leopard was caught in the very same year. The prowling leopard had caused much fear among the locals here and hence, a trap was laid a month ago to capture the feline.
The forest officials have informed that the captured wild cat is almost 10 years old and is a male leopard. Even as the noise of the leopard getting caught was heard, hundreds of locals rushed to the location out of curiosity to get a gaze upon the animal.
