Chennai: Days after the death of a 23-year-old techie, who was run over by a tanker after a hoarding fell on her, senior AIADMK leader C Ponnaiyan made a rather callous remark stating that the hoarding fell due to the wind and hence if a case has to be registered, it should be against the wind.
Ponnaiyan, in a TV interview on Saturday, said that C Jayagopal had instructed the banners to be placed to announce his son’s wedding and did not have any intention to hurt the techie, Subhashri
AIADMK had come under severe criticism for their banner culture which proved fatal for the techie.
