JD(S) district president resigns from post

Mangaluru: JDS Dakshina Kannada district president B Mohammed Kunhi on Tuesday resigned from the post citing personal reasons, however, he assured that he will remain an active worker of the party.
Addressing pressperson here onKunhi said, “I won’t be able to serve as JD(S) district president du to my health and other personal reasons. I have already submitted my resignation to the JDS national president H D Deve Gowda and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.”
He further added, “The new district president of the JD(S) will be selected in two days.”
Criticizing current government over the flood relief he said, Chief Minister BS Yediyurrap has failed to handle the flood situation in the state3. Even though the Central Government has released Rs 1200 crores to be given as compensation to the flood victims, the money has not yet reached the intended beneficiaries.”
Other party leaders like Akshith Suvarna, Former minister K Amarnath Shetty, Vasanth Poojary, Susheel Noronha and others were present.
