Dharmathadka: Student drowns in a river

Kumble:  A high school student accidentally drowned at Shiriya river near Dharmathadka on Saturday afternoon.  The deceased is identified as Aboobakker Siddique (16), son of Ibrahim B K of Amberi Dharmathadka.

The victim had been to Chellangai in Shiriya river along with his friends for a swim when he drowned accidentally. His corpse was later recovered by Uppala fire service personnel. The autopsy was then conducted at Mangalpady government hospital and Badiyadka police have registered a case in this regard.

The deceased was a plus one student at Dharmathadka high school.  He is one among the five children belonging to the poor family of Ibrahim. As a sign of condolence, holiday has been declared for the higher secondary on Oct 14th.
