Srirangapatna DySP slashes nerves in suicide bid

Mandya: Srirangapatna circle deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Yoganand was admitted to a hospital after he allegedly attempted suicide at his residence by slashing his nerves.
Yoganand reportedly slashed the nerves of his hands and legs at his residence in Baburayanakoppalu of the taluk.
Family members of the DySP found him collapsed on the floor owing to the severe bleeding and rushed him to a local hospital. After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to hospital in Mysuru for advanced treatment.
The reason for this extreme step is not yet known.
Srirangapatna police are investigating the matter.
