Housemaid flees with gold ornaments

Udupi: A woman hired to assist the family in household chores has reportedly escaped with the family’s gold ornaments. The accused is identified as Prema Lambani (21).
Apparently, Prema was hired to function as housemaid in the residence of Dr Shobha Kamath living in Ishwaranagara Manipal from August 18.Presently, Dr Shobha has filed a police complaint that Prema escaped with 250 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 8, 75,000.
Manipal police have registered a case and are investigating.
