More funds will be released for construction of police quarters: Bommai

Haveri: Deputy Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday assured that in the next state budget the state government would allocate funds to built police quarters across the state.
Addressing presspersons here after inspecting the flood relief works here he said, “There is a shortage of police quarters in the state, therefore, the state government would allocate more funds to built police quarters across the state.”
He further added, “There is no shortage of Anti Terrorist Squad personnel or arms and ammunitions in the squad. We will form a strong team comprising experienced officials in the squad and also introduce modern weapons.”
“The coming by-election is very important for us. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has already appointed one minister each as in charge for 15 assembly constituencies. We are confident that we will the 15 seats. There is no need to give room for any kind of false propaganda,” he added.
“Based on the Supreme Court decision on disqualified MLAs plea on October 22, we will begin the process for selection of our candidates,” he informed.
