Udupi: Movement of both, heavy and light vehicles on Agumbe ghat along NH 169A has been permitted by the district administration, stated a press release issued by the DC G Jagadeesha on Saturday.
Heavy rain had caused a few landslide along the ghat road and hence vehicular movement was banned along the stretch on March 30 2019.
Post repair work, only LMV like mini-bus, cars, two wheelers were allowed to traverse the ghat road since May 15, 2019. However, the ban on the movement of heavy vehicles along the stretch persisted.
Presently, since there is no possibility of any landslide or tree fall along the stretch, the ghat road has been opened for heavy vehicles as well, informed the release.
