Sporadic rain along the coast

Orange alert announced in Kasaragod, Kodagu

Udupi/Mangaluru: Good rain was reported from some places along the coast and in the district late on Saturday night and on Sunday.

Mangaluru city faced sun and cloudy weather since the morning. However, there was rain during the night. Meanwhile, rain was experienced at a few places in Belthangady, Dharmasthala, Bantwal, Puttur, Uppinangady, Subrahmanya, Venoor and other locations.

In Udupi district, good rain was reported from various location including Kundapur, Tekkatte, Kota, Brahmavar, Karkala, Hebri, Udupi and other areas during Saturday night. On Sunday evening too, drizzling was experienced at some places. Good rain was reported from Kollur, Kundapur, Brahmavar and Shirva.

Orange Alert in Kasaragod

Kasaragod: In the backdrop of possible heavy rains accompanied by lightning ans thunder, the weather department has announced “Orange Alert” in Kasaragod district for October 22nd.

Madikeri: Orange Alert until Oct 23rd

Madikeri: The rain in Kodagu district has gained intensity and cloudy sky has persisted. As a precautionary measure, the district administration has announced Orange Alert till Oct 23rd and Yello Alert from Oct 23rd to Oct 24th.

Since the last two days, good rain was experienced in Madikeri, Bhagamandala and Virajpet. Although there is some respite after 2-3 hours of torrential rains, the over-cloudy sky and dim light keeps haunting the people. There was good rain Somwarpet as well.
