Karkala: College student dies after consuming poison

Karkala: A student of a private college in Karkala, who had consume poison about a week back breathed his last at a private hospital in Deralakatte. The deceased is identified as Manoj (18).

Son of Barmoji (48) from Chennagiri in Davanagere, the deceased was currently staying at a rented house along with his family at Pervaje in Karkala Kasba village and had consumed rat poison while in the house on 13th. he was then treated at Karkala government hospital and Ajjarakadu hospital and later admitted at Kanachur hospital at Deralakatte for further treatment. However, Manoj failed to respond to the given treatment and breathed his last on Saturday.

A case in this connection has been registered at Karkala city police station.
