B.C. Road beautification project foundation stone laid

Bantwal: The foundation stone for the B.C. Road beautification project was laid by DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Monday October 21.
Revenue Minister R Ashok, MP Nalin Kumar, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, Sanjeeva Matandoor, SP Laxmi Prasad and a host of dignitaries were present on the occasion.
B.C. Road beautification project has been envisaged with the help of noted architect Dharmaraj and the project will get contributions from MRPL, NMPT, ONGC, HPCL, KPCL and IOCL. Besides, the CM has announced an aid of Rs 5 crore.
The beautification project also includes the construction of a beautiful garden beneath the flyover along with facilities like drinking water and modern lavatory. Apart from providing parking facility for two-wheelers’ and auto rickshaws, CCTV cameras will be installed and bus bays will be constructed at five locations.
