Couple from different communities in lodge: POSCO case against youth

Puttur: A Mumbai resident who was taken into custody after he was found in company of a girl belonging to a different community from a Puttur lodge has been booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.
The youth identified as Abdul Tayyad had arrived in the city on October 20. He met the girl with whom he became acquainted over social media at the lodge on Sunday afternoon.
Bajrang Dal activist came to know of this and was seen conducting inquiry in the lodge. However, the cops reached the lodge in time and took custody of the couple.
Upon being questioned the girl revealed that Tayyad had come to the lodge on an earlier instance too and had enticed her to come to the lodge.
A case of POSCO was registered against Tayyad on basis of the girls complaint in the women’s police station here. The girl was sent to home with her parents.
