Mangaluru: In the backdrop of the fall in air pressure, the sea along Ullal shoreline has turned rough with massive waves crashing on to the shore. This has created a anxious environment in Kaiko, Mogaveerapattana area located on the shores here.
The strong winds have given rise to sea erosion here and the temporary retaining wall her is slowly being consumed by the sea.
Sea erosion at Ucchila and Someshwar areas has increased and a house belonging to one Mohan, located near Someshwar temple is being hit by the waves. Four coconut trees have come crashing down into the sea near Battamppady in Ucchila.
