Bengaluru: Security heightened at Kempegowda International Airport ahead of former minister DK Shivakumar’s arrival.
The state government has assigned one DCP, three ACPs, ten inspectors, twenty SIs and 150 constables in this area.
Meanwhile, over 5000 supporters of DK Shivkumar are all set to depart from Ramanagara to Kempegowda International Airport in 800 vehicles.
Earlier on October 23, the Delhi High Court Justice Suresh Kait granted bail to Shivakumar on a bail bond of Rs 25 lakh plus two sureties while observing that there was no chance that the Congress leader could tamper with the evidence as documents were with investigating agencies.
The judge also said that there was no material to indicate that Shivakumar was a flight risk or attempted to influence witnesses in the case.
Shivakumar, 57, was arrested by the ED on September 3 in the money laundering case. He was in Tihar jail under judicial custody for 50 days. Shivakumar had approached the High Court challenging the trial court’s order denying him bail.
While granting him the bail, the High Court had asked him not to influence witnesses, tamper with evidence, leave the country without prior permission to the court and make himself available for investigation when required.
