Kundapur: In yet another case of illegal cattle transportation, forest officers on night patrol duty, at Nayikodi check post on the state highway 27 near Kollur, rescued 21 buffaloes which were being taken to a slaughterhouse in Manjeshwar.

The arrested have been identified as Imran Basha (27), a Davanagere resident and Tabrez Befari (22), a resident of Old Hubballi.
