Immediate repair of NH for VP Venkaiah Naidu’s visit

Mangaluru: In the wake of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s visit to the city on November 2 to participate in the NITK convocation ceremony, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has directed officials to undertake immediate repair of the highway from Kulur to NITK.

The DC also reviewed the arrangements viz security, travel, venue of the programme, media management etc to be made for the Vice President’s visit during a video conference with the Chief Secretary of the state at the auditorium of her office on Wednesday, October 30.

Three different agencies have been allotted the task of repairing the stretch from NITK to Circuit House at Kadri into three parts by dividing it into three parts, informed PWD executive engineer Yashwant.

City Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha, Mangalore Airport Director VV Rao, NITK Director Umamaheshwar Rao, Additional DC M J Roopa and others were present.
