Court exonerates four Naxals in Bhoja Shetty murder case

Udupi: District and sessions court judge C M Joshi on Wednesday, October 30 absolved four Naxal activists accused in the 2008 murder case of teacher Hebri Bhoja Shetty.
The acquitted – Veeramani, Ramesh, Neelaguli Padmanabha and Sanjeev Kumar were accused of killing Bhoja Shetty by firing at him on May 15, 2008 allegedly for his strong anti-Naxal stance. Another person Suresh Shetty who was with Bhoja Shetty then, also was killed in the attack.
The court pronounced its verdict after hearing the arguments presented by Advocate Shantaram Shetty on behalf of Neelaguli Padmanabha, Ramesh and Veeramani and Advocate Akhil Hegde for Sanjeev Kumar.
