Dist Rajyotsava Awards will be presented next yr: Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district administration celebrated the Kannada Rajyotsava Diwas at the Nehru Maidan here on Friday, November 1.
Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag District In-Charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that the new educational policy will ensure implementation of Kannada language at primary level in all the educational institutions in the state.
He further informed that the district Rajyotsava Awards will be presented to the achievers next year since the model code of conduct is in force for the MCC elections.
BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Bharat Shetty, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Zilla Panchayath President Meenakshi Shantigondu, Karnataka Bearys Sahitya Academy President Rahim Ucchil, Tulu Academy Chairman, Dayanand Kattalsar, Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh, Police Commissioner Dr. Harsha P, Superintendent of Police Laxmiprasad and others were present at the event.
