Kasargod: A Yakshagana artiste was crushed to death when a cement-laden lorry toppled over his bike at Adhur in Kasargod here on Saturday, November 3.
The deceased has been identified as Ishwar Bhat (56), a resident of Koturu. He was an office-bearer of the Yaksha Tunira Samprathisthana and worked as a medical representative.
It is gathered that the truck moving towards Kasaragod from Karnataka fell on Eshwar’s bike when it overturned at the Kotur turn. Though locals pulled Eshwar out and rushed him to a hospital he died without responding to the treatment.
