Siddu curse for Congress, will destroy party: Janardhana Poojary

Mangaluru: Veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary on Tuesday, November 5 said that the Congress high command has made a mistake by appointing Siddaramaiah as the opposition leader.

Quizzed about the former chief minister’s appointment as opposition leader Poojary said that Siddaramaiah will destroy the party. “He is a curse for Congress party,” he added.

He was speaking at a press meet demanding an apology from District Congress president Harish Kumar for lying about having consulted him before finalising candidates for MCC elections.

Poojary said that he was pained by the blatant lie told by Harish Kumar claiming that he had consulted senior party leaders, including him while selecting candidates for MCC elections.

“Harish Kumar has lied about consulting me. Congress party believes in honesty. If Harish Kumar does not apologise for the false statement made by today evening, I am aware of what is to be done,” said Poojary.

Regarding MCC elections Poojary said that the BJP might win as Congress party wants the saffron party to come to power.
