11-year-old boy critical after being knocked down by truck

Gangavathi: A 11-year-old boy is battling for life after being knocked down by a truck on Thursday near Danapura village.
The injured boy has been identified Maruti.
As per reports, the boy was on his way home from school when the truck, transporting sand illegally knocked him over. Maruti was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries and is said to be critical.
Locals have alleged that officials are turning a blind eye towards the illegal sand transportation, despite complaints made to the authorities concerned, that takes place even during daytime here.
