Stolen items worth Rs 6.65 lac recovered; one held

Udupi: Manipal police on Wednesday arrested a person involved in theft incidents reported from within different police station limits in Manipal and recovered stolen items valuing Rs 6,65,000 from his possession.

The arrested has been identified as Yogish, a resident of Bajpe.

A police team comprising of Manipal police station sub-inspector, Manjunath M, probationary police sub-inspector, Rajashekar Vandali, Suma B, ASI Shailesh and other staff personnel, under the guidance of district superintendent of police (SP), Nisha James, and additional superintendent of police, Kumar Chandra led the operation and arrested Yogish from Perampalli near Manipal here.

The police seized gold jewelry weighing 133 grams, Rs one lakh in cash, five laptops and a two-wheeler used for the thefts.
