Udupi: Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji of Sri Pejawar Adhokshaja Mutt in Udupi on Sunday, November 10 rushed to Delhi to attend a peace meet with the prominent religious leaders and the video of the senior seer boarding a chartered flight has gone viral on the social media platform.

Addressing pressperson before leaving to Delhi Pejawar seer said that if need be, he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to expedite the construction of the Ram Mandir.

“A new era of harmony should begin in the country,” he said.

A day before the verdict, he warned of staging a hunger strike if either community held a victory procession or resorted to violence after the Ayodhya verdict.

It may be ecalled that the seer had played an important role in the Ram Mandir issue. A resolution demanding the construction of the Ram Mandir was passed at the VHP’s Dharma Samsad in Udupi in 2017, during his fifth Paryaya.
