Mangaluru: A 19-year-old girl student of a nursing college in the city sustained serious head injuries after falling from a private bus at Bajjodi here.
The injured Rajeshwari, a native of Raichur is a student of Mangala Nursing College at Neermarga.
The incident took place on Wednesday, November 13 when Rajeshwari had boarded a private city bus to get back to her hostel.
Rajeshwari is said to have lost her balance and resultantly was flung on the road owing to a sudden movement of the bus when she was getting down at her scheduled stop at Bajjodi. She sustained critical head injuries and lost her consciousness.
She was immediately rushed to a private hospital where is undergoing treatment.
Traffic East police registered a case.
