Sullia: Sullia police have booked the mother of a biker who rammed his bike into a 67-year-old person in Jalsur village here on November 13 evening.
The victim, Chaniappa Naika who was rushed to the Sullia government hospital, succumbed to his injuries without responding to the treatment.
As per reports, Chaniappa was standing by the roadside when the bike, driven by a Deekshit rammed into him. A case in this connection was registered with the police on November 14.
Upon investigation, it was found that Deekshit did not possess a driving licence (DL) and the bike was registered in his mother, Sunitha’s name.
Police booked Sunitha in the case as the bike was registered in her name and also because she allowed Deekshit to ride the vehicle knowing that he did not have a DL.
