Mangaluru lit fest to be held on Nov 29, 30

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Literary Foundation, in association with Kannada and Culture Department, will host the second edition of the Mangaluru Lit Fest on the theme – ‘The Idea of Bharat – Today and Tomorrow’ at TMA Pai International Convention Centre on November 29 and 30.
Jnanapeeta awardee, poet and folklorist Dr. Chandrashekara Kambara will inaugurate the event. Dr. N Vinaya Hegde, vice-chancellor of Nitte (Deemed to be University) will preside over the program.
Noted researcher, author and historian Dr. M Chidananda Murthy will be felicitated with the lifetime award on the occasion.
Eminent literary, political and ideological persons including Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, Anurag Thakur; Smita Prakash – editor-in-chief, ANI; Savio Rodrigues – editor-in-chief, Goa Chronicle; Gen G D Bakshi (retd); Barkha Dutt, journalist and author; B L Santosh, BJP general secretary; Rajeev Chandrashekar; Malavika Avinash among others will participate in the lit fest.
