Kadri police bids adieu to dog which had taken shelter in Police station for last few years

Mangaluru: The Kadri traffic police on Friday bid a tearful adieu to a dog which had taken shelter in Kadri traffic Police station for the last several years.

The dog which had taken shelter in Kadri Police station for the last several years died on Thursday, November 21 due to age-related issue.

Speaking on the issue an official from Kadri traffic police said that the female dog was taking shelter at the police station for the last 8 years and the dog was handicapped by birth.

The official further informed that the dog was buried in the backyard of the police station. He also recalled that another dog which had taken shelter in the police station had died three years ago.

It is gathered that the Police station staff and a neibhour Cynthia Pinto used to feed the dog everyday and everyone in the police station used to pet the dog like thier own.

Recently, the dog had a fractured leg and was undergoing treatment at Animal Cart Trust Shakti Nagar, informed sources.
