Moodbidri: A JMFC court here directed Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd against digging or laying of cables in the property belonging to Pandit Health Resort till further order.

The court passed an ad-interim order into the petition filed by Advocates Sharath Shetty and M Chidanand Kedilaya against the compant for undertaking digging works at the parking area of Pandit Resort without the permission letter.

On November 21 evening, represenatatives of the company, alongwith 15-20 labourers began the digging activity at the property belonging to Pandit Heakth Resort for laying the cables. Despite not having any permission letter or documents to show that the land belongs to the government, the representatives argued with the property owners. It is alleged that they had brought two police personnel to silence the property owners.

The court has restrained the company from undertaking any activity at the property till the next date of hearing.
