Bantwal youth killed in road accident near Hassan

Hassan/Bantwal: One person was killed and 25 were injured on Monday after a KSRTC bus toppled near Hirisave village of the district.

The deceased is identified as Abhishek, 26, a resident of Mani village in Bantwal taluk.

It is gathered that Abhishek had got an appointment at a bank in Bengaluru and was supposed to report to work on Monday.

As per the sources, the bus, which was travelling from Mangaluru to Bengaluru toppled near Hirisave village after the driver lost control on the wheels. The bus eventually hit a moving Innova vehicle after the accident, causing more damages.

Following the accident, the Hirisave police rushed to the spot and took the injured to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) hospital.

A case in this regard has been registered with the Hirisave police.
