Hubli: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that BJP came into power by carrying out horse-trading in Karnataka, therefore it is important for them to win at least 8 seats in the upcoming by-polls.
Addressing media persons, here Siddaramiah said that it is very difficult for BJP to win in 8 constituencies and because of this, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will have to face a lot of problems.
He further added, “If BJP doesn’t win 8 assembly seats, JDS will not support the state government. Even though we have not discussed it with JDS, I am very sure about this.”
“I was a member of JDS in the past and I am aware of the situation there. If BJP loses this by-polls, there is no point in asking for the trust vote. There will be an interim election and Congress will come to the power again,” the former CM said.
“I am not informing that I will be Chief Minister candidate from the party as this will be decided by high-command,” he added.
Referring to ongoing politics in Maharashtra the former Chief Minister said, “They have murdered the democracy in Maharashtra. Congress supported them because Shivsena has assured that they will come out from Hindutva.”
