Will file defamation case against Kalladi Deviprasad Shetty: Patla Sathish

Mangaluru: Veteran Yakshagana Bhagavatha Patla Sathish Shetty on Monday, November 25 alleged that contrary to the claims made by troupe convenor Kalladi Deviprasad Shetty, he had no information that he had been removed from the Kateel mela.
Following the furore over the incident that took place during the Yakshagana programme on November 23, Kalladi Devi Prasad Shetty had in a press meet clarified that Patla Sathish Shetty had been informed that he was not part of the troupe and he had come to the stage depite the oral instruction given to him.
Speaking to press persons here, Patla Sathish Shetty said that charges of indiscliplinary behaviour on his part are far from true and a canspiracy was being hatched to defame him. “I will file a defamation case against Kalladi Deviprasad Shetty and his team for insulting me during the Yakshagana programme,” he stated.
He further said that in the last 20 years of his association with the Kateel Mela there has not been a single complaint against him as far as indiscliline or disregarding decision of temple management was concerned. “Till date, I have abided by all decisions taken by Kalladi Devi Prasad Shetty,” he said.
