Puttur Shootout Case: One arrested

Puttur: Hours after a shootout incident was reported from Kabaka in the taluk, Puttur police personnel arrested one of the accused in the wee hours of November 27.

The arrested person has been identified as Haneef Jogi, a resident of Kepu village in Bantwal Taluk.

On November 26 evening, miscreants fired at Abdul Khader and fled from the scene in their Indica car. However their car developed a flat tyre on the Bengaluru – Mangaluru National Highway and the police team formed to nab the miscreants reached the spot.

While the police managed to nab one of the miscreants the others are said to have escaped into the nearby forest region.

Abdul Qader’s family has alleged involvement of Rowdysheeter Sadiq alias “Blade Sadiq” in the case.
