Food delivery boy kills dog for barking at him, arrested

Bengaluru: In an inhuman act, a food delivery boy killed a stray dog after it barked at him last week.

The accused, Teja has been arrested by the police following the incident.

As per the sources, Teja had reached the Relieve Hudson apartment in Bandepalya around 8 pm on November 27 to deliver a food parcel. As he waited at the gate of the residential complex, a pack of stray dogs strode up and started barking at him, irked Teja grabbed a bamboo stick and started flogging the dogs. While all the dogs ran away, one of them was got killed by the delivery boy.

The incident was filmed on mobile phones by some of the residents and alerted Jeevajyothi Foundation.

Later, Harish KB from Jeevajyothi Foundation filed a complaint with the Bandepalya police. Police have registered a case under IPC 428 (Mischief by killing or maiming animal).
