Auto-lorry accident at Kadri Kambla: Lorry driver sent to 14-day judicial custody

Mangaluru: In connection with the accident at Kadri Kambala road, a 29-year-old lorry driver was remanded to 14-day judicial custody.

Shailaja Rao, a teacher was killed while the auto driver sustained injuries after the truck driven by Siddalingana Gowda rammed into their auto. Reckless driving by Gowda is said to have caused the accident.

He was arrested under section IPC 304 culpable, homicide. The accused was produced before the court today which remanded him to judicial custody.
