M’luru police felicitates traffic wardens

Mangaluru: The city police department on Wednesday, December 4 felicitated as many as nine traffic wardens at police commissioner’s office here.
Mavis Rodrigues, Mary Pereira, Mohammed A K, Richard D’Souza, Sunil D’Souza, Boobanna, Joel Ashok Fernandes, Deenat D’Sa and Roshan Patrao were felicitated for their selfless service.
City police commissioner Dr P S Harsha said that the traffic wardens were doing a commendable job in managing the traffic, which is a tough task. He lauded the efforts put by chief traffic warden Joe Gonsalves in setting up a traffic warden squad and voluntarily coming forward to help the police.
Dr Harsha appealed more volunteers to join the squad.
Chief traffic warden Joe Gonsalves, traffic police personnel – Krishna Kumar and Puttarama were also felicitated on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Joe Gonsalves urged the traffic wardens to encourage other persons to come forth and help police
DCP crime and traffic Laxmi Ganesh was also present.
