Admar Math seer performs ‘Bhattha Muhurtha’ rituals for Paryaya – 2020

Udupi: Admar Math pontiff performed Bhattha Muhurtha, one of the final four pre-rituals for the ‘Paryaya’ on Friday, December 6.
Vishwapriya Theertha Swami of Admar Math, who is slated to be the next Paryaya Swami performed the ritual in the Krishna temple premises. The ascension of Paryaya Peetha (Sarvajna Peetha) is scheduled to be held on January 18, 2020.
The four rituals to be held before ascending Paryaya Peetha are, Baale (banana) Muhurtha, Akki (rice) Muhurtha, Kattige (firewood) Muhurtha, and Bhatta (paddy) Muhurtha. After these rituals, the seer will carry these items for his Paryaya tenure.
“All the Muhurtha have been completed on auspicious days for the smooth run of Paryaya. The next ritual is Purapravesha to be held on January 8,” said priest of Admar Math, Vasudeva Acharya.
The puja and administration of Krishna Math are distributed among Swamiji’s of the Ashta Math established by Dvaita Philosopher Madhvacharya.
Senior Vishwapriya Theerha Swamiji, Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, priests and devotees were present in the event.
