Kundapur: A leopardess that had been spreading panic among villagers of Malady near Kundapur was captured by the forest department officials on Thursday, December 12.
The officials trapped the female leopard inside a cage by using a dog as bait.
Following complaints from villagers about the leopard killing their pet animals, forest department officials had set up a cage in Malady to trap the leopard a month ago near Shri Nandikeshava temple.
On Thursday with the help of two local residents, Suresh Devadiga and Sathish Devadiga, the forest department successfully caught the leopard.
