Mulky lone woman murder case cracked, man arrested

Mulky: The Mulky police cracked the brutal murder of an elderly woman in Mulky within eight hours of the incident by arresting a 54-year-old man.

The accused has been identified as Tukaram Shetty alias Boggu, a resident of Parankila, in Shimanthoor village.

As per sources, Thukaram was doing some civil work in front of victim Sharada’s house and quarrel erupted between them with regard to payment. During the course of a heated argument, Thukaram assaulted Sharada with an iron rod in a fit of rage and fled leaving the dead body.

Following the incident Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha formed three teams to nab the accused and succeeded in nabbing him within eight hours of the murder.
