Two killed in road mishap

Beltangady: Two persons were killed after their bike collided with a pick-up truck at Manjotti in Nada village in the taluk on Sunday, December 15.

The deceased have been identified as Sesappa Moolya (44) from Bheemande in Navoor, and his relative, Kalyani (55), resident of Janata house in Navoor.

As per sources, the accident took place while the duo was returning home after attending a family function. Sesappa, who was riding the motorbike, was killed on the spot, while Kalyani succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.

A case with this regard has been registered at the traffic police station here and an investigation is underway.
