Udupi: Gold ornaments worth Rs 4.8 lac robbed from district judge’s house

Udupi: Gold ornaments worth about Rs 4.80 lakh were stolen from the residential quarters of district judge at Ajjarkad here.
The incident took place a month ago and a case in this regard was filed in the town police station here on Sunday, December 15.
As per the complaint filed by Shailaja Joshi, wife of C M Joshi, the ornaments were stolen between November 11 and 28. The theft came to light only when Shailaja opened the drawer of an almirah at her home for keeping the ornaments in the bank locker.
The local police who have registered a case and are trying to trace the accused.
