Davanagere: As the people of North Karnataka are recovering from the floods that hit the state recently, the food items sent for flood victims in North Karnataka are rotting at MLA Renukacharya’s office in Honnali.

The food materials which were meant to be given to the flood victims are rotting at an office belonging to MLA Renukacharya, which clearly indicates that the food materials have not reached the flood victims who were in dire need of it.

Many villages in North Karnataka were hit by unprecedented floods in July and the victims have been openly expressing their anguish against the government for not responding to their problems.

Around 22 districts were affected by the floods and lakhs of people lost houses, standing crops and their livelihoods.
