Meeting Siddaramaiah is Ramesh’s tactic to blackmail BSY: Satish Jarkiholi

Hubballi: Days after newly elected BJP legislators Ramesh Jarkiholi hailed former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as his guru after visiting him in the hospital, Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi alleged that the meeting was his brother’s tactic to blackmail Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa into giving him a plum position in his government.

Earlier on Friday, Ramesh Jarkiholi met Siddaramaiah at the hospital where he underwent angioplasty and inquired on his health.

Addressing a Congress convention in Gokak, Satish alleged that Ramesh was aspiring for the post of Deputy Chief Minister’s post or that of water resources minister.

Further, he accused the BJP of using money power to win the elections after realising that Ramesh could be defeated owing to his brother-in-law, Ambirao.

“Ramesh would have ended in third place in the byelection if CM Yediyurappa and (his other brother) Balachandra Jarkiholi did not campaign for him. People of Gokak voted for BJP and Yediyurappa and not for Ramesh Jarkiholi,” he added.

Meanwhile Lakhan Jarkiholi who stood defeated in the bypoll, while speaking at the convention said that he would never join hands with his rival brother, but contest against him again in the next election.
