New Delhi: As New Delhi is racked with violent protests and vandalism against CAA in many parts of the city, particularly around Jamia Millia Islamia University, several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members came forward supporting the students protesting against the action by the police.
An image was tweeted showing the stand of the students against police brutality by the Social Media and IT Strategist of AAP, Ankit Lal and which is doing rounds on social media.
Another person, Dr. Pooja changed her display picture as the image shared by Ankit Lal and tweeted with the caption, #JamiaProtest.
Upon fact check, the image was from originally from Chile protests in 2016 on the 43 anniversary of Pinochet and not that of Jamia Millia Islamia protests.
When a Twitter user pointed out that its an image from Chile, she replied to him that its a symbolic image of protest.
I know…symbolic picture hai?
