State govt announces 3-day mourning for Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi/Bengaluru: The state government has declared a three-day mourning following the demise of Shri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

As a mark of respect for the departed seer, the government has declared an official mourning of three days from Dec 29-31, stated a release from state government.

 

The 88-year-old head seer of Pejawar Math passed away on Sunday morning. His death has been condoled by several state leaders and his followers.

The mortal remains of Pejawar Swamiji will be interred in Brindavana on the premises of Vidya Peetha at around 7 pm today.
